Please welcome seven new apprentices to Parsons Dance! Education coordinator and company member Rachel Harris led the efforts to select these fine young dancers from applicants throughout the world. The process was arduous: applications were reviewed, video materials were analyzed, and a virtual audition was held. Those selected have a wide variety of training—two are in their final year of receiving BFAs in university dance programs; a few more are graduates of university and professional programs both in the U.S. and abroad; and others are professional dancers in the commercial market.
These emerging artists will join our dancers in daily company classes rehearsals, and, if needed, in performances. Depending on COVID protocols, training will be both virtual and in person. Regardless, Rachel will monitor their progress and make sure that they are receiving direct feedback from our dancers and artistic staff.
