Last month, the company traveled to Dallas for a November 20 appearance at the Winspear Opera House to perform as part of the TITAS/UNBOUND series. Following strict pandemic protocols, the 2300-seat theater operated at a greatly reduced capacity. Nearly every available seat was taken, and the show proved to be a fabulous experience for all, beginning with the moment the curtain went up and the audience stood to applaud and ending when our dancers celebrated the joy of performing live on stage again.
Educational outreach was also on the Dallas agenda. Parsons Dance Artistic Associate Eoghan Dillon conducted an online class for forty participants from Dance For PD, a support group devoted to helping Parkinson’s patients use dance techniques to guide their bodies and minds. And Zoey Anderson led a Zoom masterclass for aspiring dancers from the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, an acclaimed public arts magnet school.
Looking ahead, the company plans to travel to Florida for January 15 and 16 performances at the Duncan Theatre in Lake Worth. Click here to learn more.
